2017 Schedule of Events

Monday July 3rd

Calling all Fiddlers!

Rogersville 4th of July Celebration Committee and WRGS Radio present "Fiddlin' for the Fourth"
Young fiddle players from ages 7 (or younger if they can play!) to 18 are invited to enter the contest which will be held at Rogersville Middle School in advance of the big Independence Day show the following day.
Cash prizes and trophies will be awarded in each of three age divisions:
• Ages 7 and under;
• Ages 8-13; and,
• Ages 14-18.
Admission is $5 per person and children 10 and under admitted FREE. Doors will open at 5 p.m, the competition begins at 6 p.m., and concessions will be available from Hawkins County Rescue Squad Crewettes.
The winner of each age group will be invited to perform their winning fiddle tune on stage the next day at the Rogersville 4th of July Celebration at City Park before a crowd of thousands expected to be on hand for the annual concert that will feature legendary country music band Restless Heart as the headline entertainment. Other performers at the 4th concert will include Phoenix Records artist Brad Puckett, and Hawkins County's own Elevation 1255 and Hayden Garber.
